Who I Am
Hi, I’m Charlie—a 22-year-old graduate student at Texas A&M University, finishing my BBA in Accounting and Master’s in Finance this December. While my background is in numbers, my true passion has always been real estate investing—and that passion is what inspired The Rookie Room Real Estate Community.
Where It All Started
My love for real estate began when I was young. Growing up, my family often traveled with friends to their vacation homes, and I was fascinated by the idea of owning property that could provide both amazing experiences and passive income.
The thought of being able to vacation in your own home whenever you wanted—and have it generate income when you weren’t there—stuck with me.
The Turning Point
The summer before my sophomore year, everything changed. While working a shift at my summer job, I picked up a copy of “Rich Dad Poor Dad.” That book opened my eyes to a simple but powerful truth:
“An asset is something that puts money in your pocket.”
From that moment, I knew real estate wasn’t just a dream—it was the path to building true wealth. Traditional investing—picking stocks or waiting for a 401(k) to mature at 65—just didn’t excite me the way real estate did. Real estate offers cash flow, appreciation, equity growth, and freedom—and that’s what hooked me.
